Most suicides can be prevented if the struggling individual is aware that there is someone willing to listen.  The isolation surrounding suicidal ideation is a true stumbling block to reducing its occurrence. It is crucial that individuals find the necessary and correct resources to help them understand self-destructive coping mechanisms. 


Suicides have become the second-leading cause of death among teenagers in the United States.
